LitePoint Introduces Dedicated WiMAX One-Box Tester for Volume Manufacturing

The IQmax-100 Wireless Test System Enables Lowest Cost of Test at Highest Coverage in Manufacturing

SUNNYVALE, CALIFORNIA - February 27, 2007 - LitePoint Corporation, an industry leading provider of advanced wireless test solutions, announces the market release of the IQmax-100 one-box manufacturing test solution. This instrument, optimized to address the needs of WiMAX volume manufacturing, is part of a larger IQmax family of WiMAX test solutions Both the IQmax-100 and IQmax-500 R&D test solutions share a common hardware platform and the same performance specifications that offer users consistency of results from development through QA.

With integrated Vector Signal Analyzer (VSA) and Vector Signal Generator (VSG) resources, one-box IQmax Test Systems offer consistent test results for all critical fixed and mobile WiMAX physical layer parameters including all bandwidth and data rate options for product development, volume manufacturing and quality assurance (QA). Accurate and repeatable, they meet all current international WiMAX product test needs, are software upgradeable to easily address any evolving 802.16 standard's needs, and are positioned to support future WiMAX implementations including Beamforming and MIMO. Additionally, they support optional WiFi and Bluetooth capability to test any WiMAX, WiFi, Bluetooth or combination product.

IQmax accommodates fast non-link-based test methodology which enables low-cost manufacturing with extensive test coverage that can reduce test times.

The IQmax-100 comes with a flexible C++ API interface to easily facilitate user automation. To jump-start initial manufacturing use ready-to-go IQfact automated manufacturing test programs which feature chip-specific production tests, test limits, chipset test driver and test executive. Developed in close cooperation with the chipset suppliers, IQfact enables very fast time-to-production reducing engineering development by as much as 6 months. Check with LitePoint for a current list of supported chipsets.

"This once again demonstrates the flexibility of the one-box test solutions from LitePoint and shows the continued commitment to our customers to offer complete and superior solutions for development and manufacturing test," said Greg Ravenscroft, President / Advanced Development at LitePoint Corporation. Mr. Ravenscroft continued, "The IQmax-100 is a critical component of our advanced test solutions that offer the lowest cost of test at the highest coverage in WiMAX manufacturing."
