LitePoint Opens Office Near Haifa in IsraelGets closer to key IC R&D partners SUNNYVALE, CA — May 28, 2008 — LitePoint Corporation announced today it has opened its new support office in Tirat Ha Carmel, Israel. The new office is in the technology corridor that stretches from Tel Aviv to Haifa, and conveniently close to two major Intel R&D centers. Local field-application engineers (FAEs) in Israel add global support strength to LitePoint’s FAEs now located in Sunnyvale (California), Shanghai (China), Taipei (Taiwan), and near Copenhagen (Denmark). “It’s no secret that a lot of advanced IC development is done in Israel,” said Guy Shaviv, LitePoint’s business development manager in Israel. “Our local presence played a big part in our developing a turnkey manufacturing program that runs on our IQmax system and supports a major WiMAX chipset. In fact, we’ve received a certificate of validation from that IC’s manufacturer – the first such validation to a test-system vendor for a test solution specific to that chipset,” he added. The pace of WiMAX development has accelerated, recently, with news of new investments and commitments to WiMAX infrastructure build-out in North America, Japan and Taiwan. WiMAX Wave 2 is the target standard for nearly all of these developments, and LitePoint IQmax and IQnxnplus systems support WiMAX and WiMAX MIMO development. Customer support is an important success factor in wireless test and product assurance. Wireless devices must meet strict standards specifications making test procedures and accuracy crucial factors in test end results. LitePoint’s support offices are staffed by qualified engineers experienced in wireless technologies, testing requirements, process integration, and test programs.
