zSignal 802.11ax Software
LitePoint’s zSignal™ 802.11ax software license adds transmit quality analysis and waveform creator support for this next generation High Efficiency WLAN standard. This 802.11ax software augments LitePoint’s zSignal WLAN license for 802.11 a/ac/af/ah/b/g/j/n/p, and is compliant with the latest draft standard from the IEEE 802.11ax working group. In combination with LitePoint’s zSeries Test Solutions, typical equipment EVM floors for 802.11ax 80 MHz (HE80) are <-50 dB (preamble-only equalization).

Testing Power Amplifiers for 802.11ax (App Note)
The upcoming 802.11ax standard takes Wi-Fi to the next level by providing more consistent and reliable high throughput Wi-Fi in dense user environments, such as a crowded hot-spot in a busy airport or stadium where an overloaded access point delivers terrible user experience. 802.11ax promises to support 10X more users over the same unlicensed spectrum, increase average throughput per user by 4X, and improve outdoor and multi-path signal robustness. The physical layer changes for 802.11ax that most impact power amplifiers are:
- Increased power amplifier linearity requirements for 1024QAM,
- In-band emission requirements for OFDMA, and
- Measurement errors due to test equipment sensitivity to narrower subcarrier spacing.
