LitePoint has developed the IQFR1-RU tester, a single-box solution for testing O-RAN compliant radio units. The tester validates RF parametric measurements and functional performance, eliminating the need for an external DU emulator. It offers real-time analysis of signals, transmit quality parameters, and packet content.
The following video demonstrates how to validate the standalone RF parametric performance of an O-RAN radio unit using the IQFR1-RU tester. It shows the setup with the tester connected to a third-party radio unit at both the fronthaul and radio interface. RF connections are used for waveform generation and analysis, while an optical connection enables control of the O-RAN 7.2X interface and messaging.
