Wi-Fi Turns the Knob to 7

On April 23, 2020, the FCC unanimously approved a proposal that enables the use of 1.2 GHz of spectrum in the 6 GHz band for unlicensed use.  This represents the largest amount of unlicensed spectrum that has been made available in over 20 years, setting the stage for a successful roll-out of the latest generation of Wi-Fi technology: Wi-Fi 6E.
